Blending R&B, saxophone, and alternative rock/grunge, Enrose scratches a nostalgic itch with their newest single “Me & You” while also hitting with modern production and style. It describes the feeling of falling in love haphazardly. Sonically, it’s a nod to progressive R&B/jazz which got Gabi into writing music in the first place, coupled with a big rock heaviness that makes your ears tickle.
“Jazz with balls” – our drummer
Bandleader and founder Gabi Rose is one of the few female artists ripping sax solos in the midst of soulful vocals and pop melodies, and her style been noticed by millions with her performances online and live in venues across the world. She brings that into Enrose, which as a band steps outside the lines of what is considered “conventional” and excites younger and older audiences alike.
Because of their love for 90’s and early 2000’s bands such as Nirvana, Soundgarden, No Doubt, and more, it makes perfect sense for this type of raw, dirty, emotionally-exposed rock sound to work its way into the Enrose repertoire at some point. Gabi is also known as being female vocalist and saxophonist in alternative rock/pop/metal band, Bilmuri, where she’s been able to reacquainted with her rock roots. Not to mention Gabi’s viral video series, “Guitar Riffs, but on Sax” exploding with millions of views across TikTok, where she plays iconic guitar riffs on saxophone.
But ultimately it was R&B and jazz that inspired Gabi to start this project in the first place- artists like Alicia Keys, Frank Ocean, D’Angelo, etc, which is what you will hear from the debut Enrose EP, “Wait, Create” released in April 2022. Wanting to go against the norm and try something new, Enrose blends this unlikely pairing of grunge rock and R&B for the very first time with “Disease.” Gabi and the team are excited about this release and have more music to come with some serious momentum!
